Good Mylk is Taking Over the Plant based Mylk World

Share your story of how your brand came to be

Through dealing with my own health issues I realized the plant based milks I was buying at the store were made with toxic fillers and preservatives that compromised the integrity of the product, and my health. When I began experimenting with recipes at home I quickly realized not only did these recipes taste so much better than the store bought stuff, they had me feeling so much better as well. I had to share this with others. I first opened Made With Love Wellness, a cafe in Culver City, selling plant-based mylks and juices. After an overwhelming and positive response, especially from cafe owners requesting a barista blend without compromise, Good Mylk Co. was born. After many months of trial and error, with the goal of scaling my homemade, fresh barista blend I created for the cafes, I developed a proprietary flash-blast freezing technique that allowed me to distribute without compromising the nutritional integrity or flavor of my plant mylks. Goodmylk is now available throughout California in cafes, hotels, and restaurants, and will be available nation-wide on our own e-commerce site in a few weeks.

What does beauty mean to you?

Beauty is a reflection of what we have inside. From kindness and love down to a healthy gut and digestive system. If we do not feel good it makes it difficult to be kind, loving and beautiful. This is one of the reasons I put such an emphasis on being very conscious about what I put into my body. Processed food disrupts our digestive systems and dims our beauty.

What are you daily beauty rituals?

Beauty starts with what we eat and I make it a point to eat pure, real foods that help me feel my best and often have a positive impact on my outward appearance. Eating a clean diet has allowed me to know exactly how certain foods are going to affect my skin. And if for some reason I still decide to eat a food that is going to show up on my skin in a negative way the next day, I don't beat myself up about it. I also only use really clean beauty products and have become obsessed with face oils.

What current projects are you working on?

Taking Goodmylk global! Our Barista Blends are currently in over 100 cafes throughout California, and we are working hard to grow our presence even further. Our product is the first of its kind, allowing for Homemade Plant Mylk to be made in seconds. We have some amazing cafe partners (Blue Bottle, La Colombe, Verve) and we're getting ready for the launch of our Direct to Consumer line. This launches at the end of January and will mean our product is available nationwide (shipped to your home!) for the first time ever.
